About the course
Keeping workplaces safe is both a legal and moral obligation, with severe consequences if health and safety laws are not followed.
The Level 2 Award in Health and Safety within the Workplace is widely used across the UK to keep staff compliant with health and safety procedures and regulations.
It has been designed to give learners knowledge of the basic health and safety practices essential in the workplace.
Topics covered include:
- understanding the responsibilities of employers and employees,
- understanding risk assessment and how they reduce accidents
- typical hazards and controls in a workplace
- common causes of accidents
- emergency procedures
- the importance of recording
